The drawings are a gestural contemplation on how to record dynamic events – mapping journeys, human and animal migrations, cyclical events in nature, crossing borders and boundaries, defining spheres of influence.
Abstracted and coded narratives are placed against textures, patterns, geometries and symbols. The repetitive layering on the drawings erases previously made traces, reflecting through the very process of drawing at a ‘culture of amnesia’.
